After a recent trip to Singapore, have added the following:
Also added Omani DPM variant.
Slow on the collecting front... as the lack of blog updates suggests.
Finally managed to get a set of the Australian Multicam. Not sure if I've mentioned this before, but getting hold of Australian camo can be difficult, especially for someone without contacts.
Also added a Saudi MOI 6-colour desert pattern.
Collecting has slowed significantly. Just don't have enough space.
Added a few new items:
Late last year (2012) the Mongolian Border Guards introduced a pixelated pattern to replace the 2007 version of their camouflage uniform. I assume they didn't want to be left behind as the Army introduced thier pixelated pattern in 2010-11.
Yesterday with the help of a friend I was finally able to acquire a set. Photo and Link updated under Central Asia.
The bonus was that when I was there paying for it I noticed a set of the old original pattern (it doesn't have a name or designtion that I am aware of) so I asked about it and was told that it was the last one. The fabric is no longer available. So, naturally I grabbed it to replace the set I accidentally traded back in 2009.
Had a "Happy Camo Day" yesterday. Thanks to Philip C. for the phrase
Living in Mongolia presents a few problems. One of them is the unreliability of the postal service. When I was here last time: 2007-2008 I lost who-knows how much stuff in the post. Never arrived and most likely stolen.
Now I'm back here again (since 2011), IConsequently I get stuff sent home to Australia. Having not been back there for the last 18 months I was keen to get back there and see what was waiting.
